Taller Maya (Pro Bono Work)
Summer 2022
Taller Maya is a collective brand that works with artisans from the Yucatán Peninsula, preserving and promoting Maya craftsmanship. I collaborated with artisans to design innovative products that combined traditional craft techniques with contemporary ideas, pushing the boundaries of their skills. I aimed to expand their market reach and boost the visibility of their handmade pieces while preserving cultural integrity.
ProTG (Co-Creator of Protect a Hero)
2020- 2021 Pandemic
Established a non-profit in response to COVID-19, designing washable PPE with 83% biodegradable materials. Donated 2,500 PPE jumpsuits to over 40 hospitals, raised $50,000, and created full-time jobs for eight seamstresses.
